Fly Ash Portfolio & Technical Specifications
Class F fly ash is a by-product of bituminous (anthracite) coal combustion; its low CaO content (<10%) delivers high sulphate and chemical resistance. These properties make it widely used in projects demanding long-term durability such as infrastructure, bridges, dams and marine structures. Compliant with ASTM C618 and EN 450-1, it is positioned as a reliable mineral admixture in the cement and concrete industry.
Class C fly ash, formed from lignite combustion, has strong binding capability thanks to its high calcium content and can be used as a direct addition to cement or as a partial replacement. Its high early strength and rapid hydration make it the preferred choice in road construction, soil stabilisation and precast concrete applications. This grade improves mechanical performance and shortens curing, delivering efficiency in engineering projects.
Substituted at 15–35% in Portland cement production, fly ash contributes significantly to both strength and sustainability; used as a concrete admixture it improves workability, enhances durability and lowers the heat of hydration, reducing the risk of thermal cracking. In soil stabilisation it raises the bearing capacity of clayey soils while improving impermeability, and it delivers long-term durability in precast elements and infrastructure projects. In fill and geotechnical applications its light weight brings cost efficiency.
Fly ash is sourced from thermal power plants in Europe, Türkiye, India and the Middle East, with shipments made under FOB, CIF or DDP terms in bulk or big-bag packaging. Products are stored in humidity-controlled silos and shipped in closed containers; quality is assured by EN 450-1, ASTM C618, ISO 9001 and the relevant environmental management certificates. Regular container or bulk departures are available from Mediterranean, Black Sea and Aegean ports, with logistics managed to international standards.
Using fly ash puts industrial waste back to work and helps reduce the carbon footprint. Lowering the clinker ratio in cement production cuts CO₂ emissions, while the resulting more durable, longer-lasting building materials reduce life-cycle costs. These qualities give fly ash an important role in sustainable, environmentally friendly construction.
